Senior Silverbacks
(ages 10-12)
A more disciplined and challenging step for motivated students. Senior Silverbacks train with clear standards, progressive goals, and a strong focus on real skill in Goju Ryu Karate, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and Muay Thai, while keeping sessions engaging with purposeful games and partner challenges.

The Seniors Silverbacks program is great for children – including adding Muay Thai. Sign them up for a wonderful experience!
- Technical striking: advanced stances, footwork, timing, defense, combinations, kata development, pad and bag work
- Grappling: safe falling, takedowns, positional control, transitions, guard passing, escapes, and safe submission basics
- Muay Thai foundations: jab cross hook, kicks, knees, shield work, and clinch positioning with control
- Awareness and safety: mat etiquette, controlled contact, tap early culture, and personal boundaries
- Structured progressions with clear objectives and feedback
- High quality drilling with partner rounds, small group stations, and timed reps
- Purposeful games that reinforce timing, problem solving, and conditioning
- Level up training that prepares students for stripe tests, belt promotions, and optional in house showcases
- TROOP code in action through daily roles and responsibilities
- Lead warm ups, demonstrate techniques, and assist coaches with younger groups
- Communication skills, peer mentorship, and basic first aid awareness introduced as appropriate
- Physical: speed, agility, coordination, flexibility, reaction time, and core strength
- Mental: focus, discipline, resilience, goal setting, and personal accountability
- Social: respectful communication, teamwork, and positive peer leadership
- Structured warm up, technical blocks, drilling, and supervised controlled contact or grappling rounds
- Progress tracking with stripes, belts, and leadership milestones
- Multiple class times offered six days a week for busy families
Outcome
Students gain real martial arts proficiency and the confidence to lead, carrying discipline and empathy from the mat into school, home, and the community.
