A step up in structure and challenge. Junior Silverbacks train in a disciplined, positive environment that builds real skill in Goju Ryu Karate, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, while keeping sessions fun with purposeful games and partner drills.

Sign up your kids for Junior Silverbacks. It is a great opportunity for your kids to learn Karate and BJJ while becoming better people!
- Technical skills: strong stances, footwork, striking combinations, kata basics, and pad work
- Grappling skills: safe falling, takedowns, positional control, transitions, and basic submission defense
- Awareness and safety: mat etiquette, controlled contact, tap early culture, situational awareness, and personal boundaries
- Character and leadership: confidence, resilience, and leadership guided by our TROOP code of Teamwork, Respect, Overcoming Obstacles, and Perseverance
- Clear standards, brief instructions, and high repetition for clean technique
- Partner work and small group stations that build communication and teamwork
- Purposeful games that reinforce skills, conditioning, and problem solving
- Physical: balance, coordination, speed, flexibility, reaction time, and core strength
- Mental: focus, discipline, goal setting, and perseverance through challenging reps
- Social: respectful interaction, sportsmanship, and positive peer leadership
- Structured warm up, technical blocks, drilling, and supervised controlled contact or grappling games as appropriate
- Stripe and belt milestones that reward effort, attendance, and skill mastery
- Multiple class times offered six days a week for busy families
Outcome
Students develop real martial arts skill, sharper focus, and the confidence to lead. They learn to train with purpose, support teammates, and carry discipline from the mat into school, home, and the community.
